Taeyang from the band BIGBANG has included a – gasp! – “bed scene” in the video from his song “1AM,” and it’s causing QUITE an uproar in South Korea, as you can well imagine. K-pop videos usually skew towards the wholesome and entertaining, and shy away from anything too provocative. So even though the scene is brief, and to my eyes, at least, incredibly tame, the video has already been banned by the conservative-skewing South Korean TV.

In the melancholy clip, the BIGBANG singer/rapper croons his way throughout a cityscape, singing about longing for a lost love. Taeyang and his love interest (played by South Korean actress/singer Min Hyorin) are an attractive, embattled couple who are drinking in a stylish club one moment and fighting in a convertible the next. Their climax comes in a scene catching the pair in bed, locked in a passionate, heated kiss with Hyorin suggestively spread over Taeyang as he strokes the small of her back.
